Stops at Douglas, Isle of Man and Belfast, Northern Ireland
Fred. Olsen’s Bolette sets out from Newcastle for ten nights along Ireland’s coast and nearby isles. After two days at sea, the ship calls at Killybegs, a fishing port by Slieve League, home to cliffs said to outscale the more famous Cliffs of Moher. The vessel then follows the Wild Atlantic Way past Mayo to Galway, where the narrow streets and lively pubs hold a lively Celtic spirit.
The cruise continues to Cobh, the last Irish port of call for Titanic, before crossing to the Isle of Man’s capital, Douglas. Belfast brings a different pace, with its shipbuilding history standing alongside modern murals and culture. The sailing includes two scenic stretches, allowing time to pass the towering cliffs of Moher and Slieve League from the ship’s deck, unhurried and across calm waters.
There’s no rush here: the voyage opens with two days at sea to settle in and closes in familiar Newcastle after a full circle around some less-visited parts of Ireland’s coastline.
