A Taste of Italy’s Veneto

Travelsphere’s week-long escorted tour in Italy’s Veneto region travels an appetising route through wine country and history. Starting in Bassano del Grappa, you’ll stroll the market and cross the old wooden Ponte degli Alpini before sampling grappa and cheese on the same afternoon. The following day follows the White Wine Road through Marostica’s fortified walls and a Palladian villa decorated with Veronese frescoes, finishing in the hilltop town of Asolo.

Midweek brings the volcanic Euganean Hills and a walking tour of Padua’s historical centre, including the university where Galileo once taught. Afterward, Lake Garda’s Bardolino and Soave wines are on the menu, with lakeside charm and a medieval fortress to match.
