Invitation to Vietnam & the Temples of Angkor

Halong Bay comes next, where limestone peaks rise sharply from the water, and there’s time to watch the sun set over the bay’s quieter corners. From there the route heads south; Hue offers a glimpse of imperial Vietnam, from a cruise on the Perfume River to the citadel and scented gardens around Emperor Minh Mang’s tomb. The journey continues along the Hai Van Pass to the mellow town of Hoi An where lantern-making workshops and community projects reveal unexpected layers beneath the tourist veneer.

Two nights in Ho Chi Minh City include a visit to the Cu Chi Tunnels and a river cruise for dinner. The final stop is Siem Reap, Cambodia, where the ancient temples of Angkor unfold over two days, from detailed carvings at Banteay Srei to the vast grounds of Angkor Wat. A walk through a local village and a blessing at a Buddhist temple offer a pause amid the stone and jungle. The tour concludes with a flight home via Ho Chi Minh City.
