Norwegian Wonders - Cities, Fjords and Mountains

This seven-night escorted tour with Travelsphere begins in Oslo, where you can spend a day walking past the Opera House’s sharp angles, along Karl Johans gate and into Vigeland Park with its crowd of more than two hundred sculptures. Next comes a change of pace, catching the Bergen Railway to Myrdal, then the steep Flåm Railway and a boat ride through the Sognefjord to Balestrand, a village on Norway’s longest fjord.

Balestrand offers a free day for gentle hikes or an optional cruise to the Jostedalen Glacier, while the following day you cross the Hardanger Fjord by ferry to Ulvik, with its nearby orchards and a family-run farm where traditional cider is made. Finally, a scenic drive brings you to Bergen, Norway's second city, where the Bryggen wooden wharf stands as an echo from medieval trading days. An afternoon funicular ride to Mount Fløyen offers panorama and a break from the cobbles.
