Pompeii, Sorrento & the Bay of Naples in Winter

The next several days unfold gently in Minori, a coastal town where the town’s promenade and café culture invite relaxed exploration. Optional excursions stretch to Paestum’s ancient Greek temples, the Amalfi coast road and the Roman ruins at Herculaneum, which happen to be less exposed to weather than Pompeii’s site. On day seven the group visits Sorrento with its narrow lanes, shops and local limoncello to sample.

Time for wandering at your own pace is a deliberate feature of this holiday, with dinners together offering company after the daytime freedom. The final morning returns to Naples for the flight home, wrapping up an itinerary that keeps clear of any rush and the party crowds which dominate the area in summer.
