Secret Slovenia

This small-group tour by Just You unfolds over seven nights from a base in Kranjska Gora, a village in the Julian Alps. After a direct flight to Ljubljana, the group transfers to the mountains where most days begin with local walks or mountain drives through the Upper Sava Valley and the Vrsic Pass, one of Slovenia’s highest roads.

The itinerary balances nature and history: days include a stroll along the cobbled streets of Ljubljana’s Old Town, visits to traditional homesteads, and a cable car ride up Mount Vogel for views over Lake Bohinj. Lake Bled is well represented with a visit to its solitary island via a wooden Pletna boat and a climb to its 12th-century castle. The tour also offers two free days for rest or optional visits to caves and castles.
