Walking through Damyang Bamboo Forest
Yeosu cable car ride and Art Land visit
Hiking part of Jeju Island's Olle Trail
Seongsan Sunrise Peak and Cheonjiyeon Waterfalls
This eight-night escorted tour with G Adventures goes beyond Seoul and Busan, travelling through South Korea’s less-touristed places at a lively pace. The trip ranges from the traditional architecture of Jeonju Hanok Village to the quiet green stretches of Damyang Bamboo Forest and the arty corners of Yeosu. You’ll spend a night in a hanok, a traditional Korean house, which means climbing stairs in buildings without lifts.

A cable car ride in Yeosu offers a view across the sea and nearby islands, while Jeju Island offers a chance to hike part of the Olle Trail and visit a local market. The itinerary also includes the volcanic Seongsan Sunrise Peak and the waters of Cheonjiyeon Falls. Seoul’s Gyeongbokgung Palace and Insadong district offer familiar city scenes. Travelling mainly by public transport and on foot requires a reasonable level of fitness.
The group will be led by a Chief Experience Officer who helps with the details and offers local insight. The tour keeps things practical – expect some early starts, a busy schedule and luggage carried at times, but also real moments inside South Korea’s quieter places and its cultural corners. It’s a small group with an average of twelve travellers and one included traditional Korean dinner.
