Early on, a countryside drive leads to Lushan Country heritage site with a short walk among native plants, then a local Creole kitchen and the St Lucia Distillers, where the history of rum is tied to the community as well as the barrels. Marigot Bay offers a pleasant pause, with time to sit and watch the world go by.

The land and sea safari heads west to Soufriere, with a ride in an open-air jeep through rainforest outskirts and stops at Sulphur Springs and Diamond Botanical Gardens. Lunch comes at a working cocoa plantation followed by a boat trip that includes snorkelling and a return via Marigot Bay. The rest of the time is free to enjoy Rodney Bay’s beaches, pools or optional excursions.
