Walking the Amalfi Coast

This small group holiday by Just You includes walks along some of the Amalfi Coast’s most scenic and storied routes. The pace is measured, with daily distances usually between 4 and 8 kilometres. After arrival in Naples, the tour heads to Sorrento via the Monastery of Il Deserto, where the coastline unfolds from two different gulfs. A private boat cruise to Marina Grande offers a calm counterpoint to walking.

There’s woodland and waterfalls in the Valle delle Ferriere and panoramic views from Ravello on day three, before more gentle climbs later in the week. Punta Campanella’s air traffic control radar is an unexpected landmark near the summit, overlooked by a small white chapel. The highlight is the Path of the Gods, a cliff-hugging trail above the sea with villages like Nocelle and Montepertuso at the end — paths that have changed little since shepherds used them, and that offer plenty of photo stops.

A couple of days allow for relaxed exploration around Massa Lubrense, with optional excursions to Pompeii and Capri. The tour finishes back in Naples for the flight home.
