Walking the Camino De Santiago

The itinerary includes time to visit Burgos with its imposing Gothic cathedral and the Campos de Castilla cereal fields, where canal locks mark a surprisingly vertical drop. Highlights include the Gaudí-designed Bishop’s Palace in Astorga, the highland village of O Cebreiro with its pre-Romanesque church, and the final destination of Santiago de Compostela with its granite streets and pilgrim atmosphere. The chance to stand at Monte de Gozo, where the city first comes into view, feels like a quiet moment of arrival rather than fanfare.

The tour balances walking sections with drives, giving a taste of both landscape and local culture, including a wine tasting in La Rioja and a farewell dinner featuring Galician dishes. There are optional guided excursions in Burgos and Santiago, but plenty of free time to wander at your own pace within a small group setting.
