About the trip

This cruise begins at London Tilbury before heading north to Haugesund on Norway’s west coast, a port town with fishing and shipping roots. The Ambience then sails into Austefjorden, a narrower fjord, en route to Bergen, a city known for its historic wooden wharves and the fish market. From there, the ship calls at Olden before a leisurely cruise along Nordfjord, where waterfalls can be heard tumbling from steep cliffs.

Alesund follows, a town rebuilt in Art Nouveau style after a fire, giving it an unusual architectural character. Then the itinerary includes Geiranger, whose fjord has steep sides and several waterfalls, among them the Seven Sisters. The route continues with a cruise on Geirangerfjord itself, before calling at Eidfjord and cruising the Hardangerfjord, lined with orchards and fjord farms.
