Getting to the port

By train
Newcastle Central is on the East Coast Main Line, with direct trains from London King’s Cross, York and Edinburgh. From the station the terminal is a taxi ride of about twenty minutes. The Tyne and Wear Metro runs to Percy Main, the nearest stop, about a mile from the terminal.
By car
The A19 passes close to the port, through the Tyne Tunnel if you are coming from the south. From Newcastle, the A1058 Coast Road leads east towards North Shields. Follow signs for the Port of Tyne.
Parking
Parking is at the terminal and is booked ahead, usually through the cruise line.
By air
Newcastle International Airport is north-west of the city and is on the Metro, which also serves the stop nearest the port.
