Cruises from Southampton

Southampton is the UK’s busiest cruise port, and the one with the widest choice. Ships leave here for the Norwegian fjords, the Canaries, the Mediterranean and the Baltic, with no flight at either end.

Getting to the port

By train
Southampton Central is the main-line station, with direct trains from London Waterloo. The cruise terminals are one to two miles from the station, and taxis wait outside.
By car
The M3 from London and the M27 along the south coast both lead into the city. The port has several dock gates; your cruise documents name the one for your terminal.
Parking
Cruise parking is booked ahead, either at the terminal or with an operator nearby that runs a transfer. Book it when you book the cruise: it fills on busy sailing days.
Which terminal
Southampton has five cruise terminals, spread along the waterfront. Which one your ship uses can change, so take it from your cruise documents and not from a previous trip.
By air
Southampton Airport is about five miles north of the port, with its own railway station one stop from Southampton Central.
