About the trip

This twelve-night cruise from London Tilbury charts a clockwise route across some of the lesser-visited corners of the British Isles. After calling at Invergordon on Scotland’s Cromarty Firth, Ambience heads north to Lerwick, the Shetland capital, where narrow streets and the scent of dried fish recall a rugged island life. Kirkwall in Orkney follows, home to stone circles and Norse-influenced architecture, before the journey continues west to the Outer Hebrides, with stops at Stornoway and the Isle of Lewis.

The voyage turns southwards via Liverpool, a city whose waterfront speaks volumes about Britain’s maritime history. Then it crosses the Irish Sea to Cobh, the last port of call for the Titanic, and continues to the Isles of Scilly, a collection of small islands with sandy beaches rare for Britain. The cruise concludes back in London Tilbury.
