About the trip

Setting off from Portsmouth, Balmoral sails north to Ålesund, a town known for its tidy art nouveau buildings and wide access to nearby fjords. After two days at sea, the cruise heads into Norway’s fjords, with calls at Olden and Skjolden, small ports offering views into deep valleys criss-crossed by waterfalls.

The itinerary includes sailing along six fjords, such as Nordfjord, Lustrafjord and the Sognefjord—the longest and deepest fjord in Norway.
