Just You’s escorted small-group tour takes in some of the best-known landscapes and cities of the American West over thirteen nights. After settling into Los Angeles for a welcome drink and morning sightseeing around Hollywood’s TCL Chinese Theatre, the route follows the Pacific coast to Santa Monica’s century-old pier and on to San Diego. Here, there’s time to explore Balboa Park’s museums or the USS Midway, with an optional bay cruise to see the seaside community of Point Loma.

The tour then heads inland through the deserts of California and Arizona, stopping at Prescott, a former wild west town with live music on Whisky Row. The Grand Canyon looms large the following day, its vastness best understood from an optional scenic flight. Travelling along part of Route 66 and past the Hoover Dam, the journey reaches the contrasting neon dazzle of Las Vegas, where a free day awaits. After crossing the Mojave Desert—with its singular Joshua trees—it’s on to Yosemite National Park for waterfall views and sequoias, followed by the waterfront town of Sausalito and the distinctive sights of San Francisco, including the Golden Gate Bridge and Chinatown.
