This eight-day, small-group tour with G Adventures winds through Egypt from the puzzling pyramids of Giza to the quieter waters of the Nile. Start off with the Great Pyramid and the Sphinx, before heading to the wonders packed within the Grand Egyptian Museum. Next, settle into the rhythm of the Nile with a felucca sail, a slow and simple sailboat journey that lets the river life pass by unhurried.

Beyond Cairo, the tour carries you to Aswān's bazaars and temples, and a Nubian village where a traditional meal awaits. Luxor offers grand examples of Egyptian architecture: Karnak’s temple complex, the Valley of the Kings, and the temples of Hatshepsut and Kom Ombo, each with their own stories carved in stone. There’s also a visit to the Funtasia Project, which combines cultural understanding with a local cycling experience.

Transport is a mix of planes, trains and private minibuses, all overseen by a certified Egyptologist to provide context. Accommodation is simple and central, often a hotel without elevators, so some mobility considerations may apply.
