Canadian Rockies Winter Adventure

This week-long escorted tour by Just You ventures through Alberta's Canadian Rockies during the winter months, starting in Calgary and swiftly heading into Banff National Park. The park’s snow-topped peaks and frosted forests form a mostly quiet backdrop to walks near Bow River and views from the Banff Gondola, which climbs Sulphur Mountain for a clear look at six surrounding ranges.

After two nights, the group moves on to Lake Louise. There’s a chance to visit Johnston Canyon, where frozen waterfalls spill beneath thick trees, weather allowing. The Fairmont Chateau stands beside the lake, a century-old hotel with a history tied closely to mountain explorers. Optional snowshoeing offers a slower way to absorb the deep snow underfoot.

The itinerary includes a horse-drawn sleigh ride through the snowy landscape near Banff and a dip in one of the natural hot springs—an easy way to warm up.
