Delhi to Kathmandu Adventure

This 15-day tour by G Adventures travels from Delhi through India’s historic and colourful cities to the tranquil landscapes of Nepal. After exploring Delhi, Jaipur and Agra — home to the Taj Mahal and the pink sandstone of Amber Fort — the route passes through the palaces and temples of Orchha before arriving in Varanasi for sunrise boat trips along the Ganges.

Crossing into Nepal, the adventure takes a turn toward nature with a 4x4 safari in Royal Chitwan National Park, where the chance of spotting wildlife blends with the rhythm of village life during an overnight community stay. The trip concludes around Kathmandu, whose skyline is punctuated by the stupa of Swayambhunath, known as the Monkey Temple, and the views from Sarangkot near Pokhara provide a quieter contrast to the busy streets and sacred sites.

This small-group escorted tour involves a mixture of trains, local vehicles and river boats, all coordinated by a G Adventures CEO.
