Travel moves on by overnight train to Ooty, where tea plantations roll beneath Dodapetta Peak, a good spot for early morning views. Visits to Mysore include local markets and Chamundi Hills, where the monolithic Nandi bull watches over the city. The trip finishes in Fort Kochi, a place marked by its colonial architecture and fishing nets swinging at the harbour’s edge.
