Epic Wonders of the National Parks

Travelsphere’s escorted tour moves through some of the American West’s most famous landscapes and landmarks over 16 nights. It begins in Denver before heading to South Dakota’s Black Hills, where the monumental granite faces of Mount Rushmore and the sprawling formations of Badlands National Park provide a striking introduction.

The tour slips into the stories behind the Wild West in Deadwood and the Little Bighorn Battlefield before entering Yellowstone National Park. Grand Teton’s mountain range follows, and then it’s on to Utah’s Canyonlands and Arches National Parks, where vast red-rock landscapes and thousands of natural sandstone arches take centre stage.

A visit to Mesa Verde’s cliff dwellings offers a glimpse into ancient Pueblo life, while Monument Valley’s monoliths recall countless western films. The route rounds off with two days at Bryce, Zion and the Grand Canyon parks, before closing in Las Vegas. The shifts in scale and landscape can feel quite sudden, a reminder of how varied the American West really is.
