Multi-Stan Adventure - Bishkek to Tashkent

This 22-night tour with G Adventures cuts across Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, visiting cities, mountain lakes and desert canyons in a paced rhythm that affords plenty of time on foot and in the company of local hosts. Start in Bishkek with a city tour and traditional dinner, then spend a night or two in yurts near glaciers and alpine lakes, where the word “cosy” becomes quite literal.

Overland journeys thread through colourful bazaars, Orthodox cathedrals and mosques in Karakol and Dushanbe, while hikes lead to waterfalls and past centuries-old mausoleums. Kazakh singing drifts in the Aydar Kŭl desert camp, and the ancient Silk Road cities of Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva unfold with their mosaicked madrassas and shaded courtyards. The tour closes with free time and a guided stroll in Uzbekistan’s capital, Tashkent.
