After a domestic flight to Srinagar, the pace softens with a houseboat stay on Dal Lake and walks through Mughal Gardens. Further north the route climbs into Ladakh’s high-altitude moonscapes, monasteries and the clear waters of Pangong Lake. Nights spent in heritage homestays and a monastery in Lamayuru add local insight, while jeep rides and valley treks provide a close-up of diverse Himalayan landscapes.
