About the trip

This six-night small group tour with G Adventures leads you through some of Norway’s most demanding and rewarding landscapes. The trip begins in Bergen, where an orientation walk sets the stage amid the city’s familiar harbour and colourful wooden buildings. From there, the itinerary includes a climb along the Via Ferrata route to Trolltunga, an overhanging rock ledge suspended above the Hardangerfjord, offering views across the sheer fjord walls carved by glaciers.

Subsequent days feature guided glacier hiking on the Folgefonna Glacier, where crampons and ice axes are standard equipment, and walking through the Buerdalen valley surrounded by rugged green hills. There's also free time in Odda, the nearby town which serves as a base for many of the hikes. The accommodation combines a night in a hotel with shared bathrooms and several others in simple family-run hotels.
