The route takes you onward to the Savuti region, where the landscape opens into plains and marshes, and then to Moremi Game Reserve, where wild camping is the order of the day. The tents have private open-air ensuite facilities but little else between you and the wildlife — hippos may lull you to sleep nearby. Later you board a houseboat on the Okavango River, a simple but comfortable base with just eight cabins and wide windows looking out over the water.

Back on land, the tour ends with a visit to the thunderous Victoria Falls. The itinerary includes a lengthy overland journey through Namibia’s Caprivi Strip, giving a proper sense of the region’s scale. This pace allows careful wildlife spotting and a rare taste of wilderness travel with practical comforts in equal measure.
