Christmas in Vienna

This five-night tour by Just You centres on Vienna through Christmas and Boxing Day. After arriving from the UK, the group begins with a city tour by foot and coach, including a stop at Schönbrunn Palace where you can try baking Apfelstrudel before strolling its Christmas market.

Christmas Day offers a quieter pace with a morning walk through the still streets and free time to visit markets with mulled wine or wander at leisure. On Boxing Day, the itinerary heads out to Melk Abbey for a guided tour and views from the Danube, followed by a tasting of Eiswein in Vienna’s wine district. The day ends with a typical Heurigen evening, a rustic dinner accompanied by local wine.

The final full day is left free to explore Vienna independently, perhaps at Naschmarkt or one of the city's many museums, before a farewell dinner. An optional classical concert caps the trip for those inclined to stay up a little later than usual in Christmas week.
