Camping is a key part of this trip, with two nights under canvas accompanied by a cook and mule handlers, plus two nights in simple local mountain gîtes. Expect hearty home-cooked meals and basic facilities — at times it’s "au naturelle" for loos and cold water for washing. The altitude gain is significant but manageable for a reasonably fit traveller, and the views at the summit are a quiet reward rather than a fanfare.

After the descent, you'll have free time to explore Marrakech, a city where the new town contrasts sharply with the medina’s bustle. This is a small, escorted trekking group led by a qualified mountain guide acting as CEO throughout.
