About the trip
This 13-night escorted tour from Explore Worldwide begins in Belize City before heading inland to the Community Baboon Sanctuary to meet black howler monkeys, then to Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary with its maze of lagoons full of wetland birds. From there, the trip moves west to San Ignacio where Mayan pyramids like Xunantunich rise above the forest canopy, and the region’s waterfalls and butterfly farms reward outdoor exploration.
