Journeys: Discover Patagonia

This small group tour with G Adventures traces a route through Patagonia’s dramatic southwest, beginning in the lakeside town of Bariloche. From here, a scenic boat ride crosses crystal-clear waters en route to Puerto Blest. There are hikes across volcanic landscapes and through national parks, notably Torres del Paine, where rugged mountain silhouettes rise sharply. The highlight is the Perito Moreno Glacier near El Calafate, with guided talks that bring its movement and scale to life.

The journey continues south to Ushuaia, known as the southernmost city on Earth, where a lecture on Indigenous history complements visits to the Museum at the End of the World. Finally, the tour ends in Buenos Aires, where a local tango lesson offers a chance to practise steps in streets teeming with rhythm and character. Internal flights are included, and travel is by private vehicle, foot and boat, allowing a varied yet unhurried pace.
