Costa Rica: Ocean Waves & Sunsets

This seven-night G Adventures small-group trip samples two defining corners of Costa Rica. First stop is La Fortuna, not far from the towering Arenal Volcano where you can choose to take on whitewater rafting or simply watch the landscape over a calmer kayak paddle. It’s a place where exertion meets easy — hot springs are nearby for any sore muscles. From here, the route turns south-west to Santa Teresa, a Pacific coast town best known for its waves and relaxed beach time.

Accommodation ranges from simple hotels to multi-share hostels, and transport between locations is included. With no meals bundled in, you have the freedom to find your own favourite local dishes, although the group often eats together.
