Classic Peru

This compact G Adventures guided tour traverses some of Peru’s most compelling Andean landscapes and cultural sights over eleven nights. Beginning with a homestay on Lake Titicaca, travellers get a sense of rural life alongside the floating Uros islands. In Cusco, the cobblestoned streets provide a heartening contrast to the wide open spaces of the highlands nearby. The itinerary includes several community visits where handicrafts and traditional skills remain part of daily life.

A four-day guided trek along part of the Inca Trail leads to Machu Picchu, the ancient site requiring visitors to follow specific circuits designed to avoid overcrowding. The careful staging of the hike by G Adventures ensures porters and cooks are treated fairly, allowing walkers to focus on the region’s rugged trails and views. The tour also includes local guided excursions in the Sacred Valley and internal flights, tying together various landscapes and cultural highlights of Peru.
