About the trip
This seven-night cycling tour from Lisbon to the Algarve coast follows a route through some of Portugal’s lesser-travelled waterside towns and wild landscapes. Starting in Lisbon, a capital reworked after a major 18th-century earthquake, the route moves south to Sesimbra, where the old Moorish fort keeps watch over a town now known for its seafood rather than fishing.
