Galápagos — North, West & Central Islands aboard the Yolita

This nine-night itinerary begins in Ecuador’s capital, Quito, before a short flight to the Galápagos. Over seven nights aboard the Yolita, the group explores islands including Genovesa in the north and Isabela in the west. Genovesa is notable for its vast bird colonies, with red-footed boobies and frigatebirds nesting in large numbers. Isabela’s landscape includes the Sierra Negra volcano, the archipelago’s most recent active volcanic feature, which you can hike to the summit of.

Days alternate between shore excursions and snorkelling, often alongside sea lions, turtles and rays in the islands’ warm, current-cooled waters. Beaches of white sand provide moments for relaxation, while small boats ferry you to wet or dry landings on uneven terrain. Expect a pace that balances active hiking and swimming with opportunities to rest.
