About the trip

This family-focused short tour starts in Lima with opportunities to appreciate the local seafood and the colonial centre before flying east into the Amazon. Two nights at the G Lodge allow close-up encounters with jungle creatures, guided by naturalists who know where to find them. Afterwards, a journey to the Cusco area introduces a very different landscape and culture.

In the Sacred Valley, the ruins and terraced hillsides hint at the reach of the Inca empire, while Machu Picchu remains the highlight. Here, the visiting circuit is decided by ticket availability and offers paths winding through ancient stonework, embracing views over terraces set on mountain slopes nearly 2,400 metres above sea level.
