The road trip from Khiva to Bukhara crosses the Kyzylkum desert, setting the tone for a two-day stay among its many madrassahs, domes and market streets. A puppet workshop and tea session provide a quieter look at local crafts, followed by a home-hosted lunch of plov, the nation’s signature dish.

Train travel brings the group to Samarkand, where monuments from Alexander the Great’s time sit alongside 19th-century vineyards and theatres. A wine tasting at a Soviet-era winery breaks up the sightseeing, with a chance to see Timur’s nearby birthplace also available on an optional half-day trip. The tour finishes with a return to Tashkent ahead of the flight home.
