This small-group tour with Just You begins in Santiago, where the city lies beneath the snow-capped Andes and broad boulevards frame the Presidential Palace and leafy suburbs. There’s time for a city tour and an optional afternoon at Santa Rita vineyard, visiting one of Chile’s oldest wineries with its colonial grounds and cellars.

Crossing the Andes into Mendoza, the route traces the path of earlier inhabitants before reaching a city surrounded by vineyards producing much of Argentina’s wine. Two days here include a city tour and free time to walk among the plazas or try local cafés. Buenos Aires follows with its spacious squares and distinctive districts like La Boca and Recoleta, while two extra days offer a choice of a river delta boat trip or a visit across the water to Uruguay’s colonial Colonia.

A short flight takes the group to Iguaçu Falls, where a train through jungle leads to vast cascades spanning three countries. Then on to Rio de Janeiro, where Sugarloaf Mountain and the statue of Christ are framed by beach-lined bays. Included is the cog railway ascent and a farewell barbecue dinner with a selection of grilled meats. After one last morning in Rio, the group heads home.
