This small group tour starts in Ljubljana, where an orientation walk sets the pace in Slovenia's compact capital with its castle perched above the old town. An oyster farm lunch in Uvala Bistrina and the resort city of Piran introduce the Adriatic coast's flavours and heritage. Visits to Postojna Caves and a stroll by Lake Bled reveal the karst landscapes of Slovenia.

Crossing into Croatia, the route includes Zagreb, Split and the ancient walls of Dubrovnik. National parks at Plitvice and Krka present lakes and waterfalls, while a day excursion from Šibenik visits the islands of Prvic and Zlarin.
