India: Kochi & Goa's Golden Beaches

The itinerary moves inland to Mysore, where the Devaraja Market and Chamundi Hills offer a glimpse of local life and temple visits. The ancient stone ruins of Hampi provide space to reflect on a different scale of history, with hikes up Matanga Hill for sunrise and relaxed free time. Kochi’s colonial past survives in waterfront fortifications and spice markets, while the town’s well-known nightlife occasionally tests the limits of “laid-back”.

Supported throughout by a G Adventures Chief Experience Officer and local guides, the trip balances cultural visits with chances to wander off alone or in small groups. Modest accommodation, local transport and shared meals half the time keep it down to earth, with the odd homestay and Ayurvedic massage providing contrasting notes along the way.
