The itinerant pace marries open-vehicle safari drives, guided bush walks, and night safaris, threading together encounters with the 'big five' in Kruger National Park and the wildlife of Mapungubwe. Travelling mainly in a custom-built safari truck known for its height advantage in spotting wildlife, the group camp in two-person canvas tents fitted with insect nets and mattresses. Evenings bring traditional dinners and local dancing, a reminder that the human element threads through these parks as much as the animals. The route includes places like the Mapesu Private Reserve, where walking among wild creatures feels thoroughly immediate and unfiltered.
