The journey continues with a trek through the Mai Chau valley, known for its rural scenery and minority villages, including an overnight homestay offering a glimpse of local life. The route also takes in Hanoi's streets, with their mix of shops and markets, plus visits to the Emperor's Tomb and the Citadel. Four days involve cycling a total of around 100 kilometres, supported by a small bus for those who prefer not to pedal.

Accommodation mixes hotels, an overnight train, a junk boat and local homestays, with an included internal flight. Meals include breakfasts, some lunches and dinners, often featuring local seafood or noodle dishes. It is a small group tour, typically 10 to 15 travellers, led by a Chief Experience Officer who balances logistics with local insights.
