About the trip
This G Adventures small-group tour travels beyond Bali’s usual resorts to surf the beaches of Canggu, where a couple of hours on the waves introduce the rhythm of the island’s coast. From there, the group moves inland to Bulian Village, cycling past fields of rice and cooling off beneath waterfalls, staying with locals who demonstrate traditional Balinese life and cooking.
In the higher reaches around Kintamani, the pace slows again for a night camping under the stars before an early start to climb Mount Batur for sunrise. The reward here is not just the view but the sense of being well off the beaten path. The itinerary includes visits to the Ulun Danu Temple and a soak in local hot springs, a quiet chance to rest before the last few days in Ubud, with time to stretch legs and connect with the village atmosphere.
